If the gear set is whinning when power is on,& no noise when off the throttle this is an indication it's time for a new ring & pinion.

Its time to change the oil anyway swap to Lucas 85 / 140.

If that and some more break in miles isn't quiet enough plan B.

Is whinning when i cruising on the higway ,will try to change oil and use 80-140

Since when should properly set up gears whine? I've never heard a peep out of mine. Of course, my cars not a kitten either.

Yeah, but even if it did, we certainly wouldn't been able to hear it over the whining about brake pad knock back, or valve lash, or whatever else has to get changed out on big blocks frequently

Did I read/hear that 9 inchers are more prone to this noise than 12 bolts? Thought I did....

Alright, so I've never actually heard mine make a whining noise. However, I have heard it make a popping/clanking noise once or twice when pulling away from a stomp, same goes for Bad Penny. A little disconcerting but they're still going strong.
