Next I need to go grab all my accessories and hopefully reusable parts from the 377 and take them up there. Hope to make it to Rich's shop Saturday.

Dave, what do you hope to reuse? Maybe if your over there for a while I'd be able to stop by in the afternoon and meet you in person.

Oil pan and pump (dry sump still considering), distributor, timing gear, damper, water pump, alt, and I think that's it. Hopefully most it is in good usable shape for Watson approval.

Yeah if we are there def stop by.... I heard you stopped by the other day and brought the requisite 6 pack for Rich. Atta boy!

Is 1 year old really old for an oil pump? I didn't think so? I know it's not something to screw around with though. ?

And I said timing gear.... if the gears look good we will reuse (this was Mike's call), but yes a new chain will be purchased.

New engine to me means new oil pump and new timing set.(Gears & Chain) Failures by either leads to huge expense vs. the low cost to replace them.

How hot did you get that engine.

Geeze just dry sump it.

Here's a good source for a proper pump. He's almost next door.

Yeah I think you're right and Mike will probably say that once he sees my junk parts.
