Brett wanted to use exact 1 5/8" O.D. (DSE size) to do the metal finish work, so I got these:

Looks good guys but I'm not a big fan of finish grinding welding cage components or joints but can be done safely if the proper technique is used.

That ship has sailed once you start using removable bars IMO.

Just a little follow up to the prior post before I go onto the next punch list item for Ron.

Now that the seat belt bar and cross brace are completely fitted, I took them out for final TIG welding of the disconnect joints. After TIG welding the joints, they were ground down and metal finished.



I don't mind TIG weld beads exposed on most completed work pieces that I do. However, there were going to be 3 welds in a row with the disconnect joints installed. This is a high visible portion of the car, So I thought a little metal finishing would go along way in the looks department here.



Now the completely finished bars can be put back into position within the DSE roll bar and final welding completed.

Next item on the punch list that will be posted will be the modifications to Dead Pool's rear bumper.
