Nice job on a crappy place to work in! You did an awesome job in there. My back is hurting just thinking about being in there.

Thanks ... if my trunk comes out half as nice as yours I'll be doing the happy dance.
Any new updates on the car? I check every now and then ... just wondering.

Cool Update 6/23

I know I have not posted in awhile ... it's field season and as a Fisheries Biologist that means you are in the field.
I have been working on a project that will help biologists determine species composition of their waters ... it's a tethered ROV (remote operated vehicle with video, lights and thrusters) that can be deployed from the boat and in conjunction with the sonar surveys provide live video (FISH PORN) back to the surface. We tested the ROV couple days ago and it works ,I made the cage outa 3/16 Al but .... I need to make some larger fins to stabilize the cage but she works and that's kool

Anyway, today was 102 and I spent most of the day getting ready for epoxy primer on the NOS fenders when it cooled off ..... mark time 2045 and tha's cuz I was running outa light. I didn't have enough primer to do the inside but I got the bare steel in primer and that's a good day.

NOS fenders in primer!

Yeah it's dark now!

It's not the Camaro but I built it for work!

The ROV inside the cage ... "Scooter"

I am gonna present my FISH PORN for the first time next week in Utah during a sonar workshop ... should go over well

Thanks for looking .... later.

Thanks .... I don't think a GI Joe would fit inside! BUT ... it is fun to control (read - addicting) the ROV or just let it sit and have the fish swim by the ROV.

Fish species varies with body of water, we are gonna use the ROV to keep track of KOKanee in our large res that we take spawn. But the ROV can be used for various missions.

Smile 6/30 Update

Man it is HOT and working in the garage is like an oven .... when I grow up I will have A/C and heat in my garage
Any way .... not much happening, got back from Utah yesterday and got in the garage today to prep my doors for some epoxy, one done and one left. Man I am glad it's not a four door

My boys are coming out here in a few weeks and I need to clean out their rooms ... I have been storing parts in their rooms where else can I keep parts clean and organized, right? So I need to get some epoxy on the doors and hang them, bolt the trunk lid on, put the door skin, dash and filler panel in my room I guess

I still need to do the jambs ... that lacquer paint just gums up when you try sanding it off, so paint remover is required!

Little bit of time here!

Ready for epoxy

Paint remover is required on the jambs

Getting there a little at a time ....
Thanks
