Default feeler- merlin 540/tremec tko600 value

im looking at purchasing a builder car with a brand new merlin 540 and tremec tko600. since im wanting to do a ls conversion im thinking about selling the combo. any idea what its worth? the motor has start up run time only and the trans 0 amount of use. the merlin is a steel headed version and was $10500 when it was purchased.. i may decide to keep the tko but wont break them up until i sell the motor first. the package woud include the clutch and bell housing. any insight would be helpfull

Merlin has one of the worst reputations in the engine business but the TKO is still a fairly strong seller.

I wouldn't count on anymore than 5-6k for the whole lot.

make sure you check that there's no aluminum shavings in the motor like the one we got. Great motor once we put a new crank, pistons and hyd roller cam, and cleaned up the walls a little. Just be sure to inspect everything with a fine tooth comb.
