researching mufflers Rob? By the way, I would want to know how loud, or how much resonance each of the mufflers had at 1800rpm where they all tend to drone a little bit (or a lot).

Cool!

Now which one sounds the best? I don't mind giving up a few hp for a better sound.

I hear that but it is totally subjective. Flash recommends straight pipes.

In between searching for Ford GT seats

Always researching each piece to try to avoid doing any one thing twice.

I agree on the drone. I'm thinking Borla stainless right now, maybe even a secondary resonator out back by the fuel cell, but we'll see.

Thanks for posting that. Anything to help get him off my back is much appreciated

Rob, I would suggest you catch a ride in my car with Magnaflows, or Gregg's with Borlas, but those are both LS powered cars and an old school Ford would sound entirely different. Personally, I would try and find out what a set of Bassani mufflers would sound like. They have perforated chamber walls, but I think they also have a straight through passage. They might give you a nasty old school sound with a twist. They made the wimpy little 4.6 3V in my old car sound downright mean too!

I don't need a muffler to enhance the sound I need one to tone it down, remember this isn't an LS it doesn't need help sounding like a real motor.

Mufflers are like wheels so many choices and in some ways it is very subjective. The db figures I posted only tell you level of sound. Also the hp and torque difference in the top tier is negligible.

I had already seen that post on the GT forum but read it again the guy decided he wanted to keep the seats. I'm still stalking you buddy.

There was another guy selling a set at the bottom of the post. I messaged him. I'm pretty sure if I buy them I can flip them

Seriously though, you should see if they're for sale. Or post a wanted add. There are probably a few of those cars that have been turned into standing mile cars and I bet a few seats that could use homes.

X2 builders buys a lot of wrecked vipers and has a few wrecked GT's they might be an option as well.

Good luck flipping them at a profit

"They are $7500. They are in new condition. Came out of a car with only 500 miles on it.
