Default After market quarters...have they gotten any better?

Hey all. Still tearing down my 69 and I really should replace the quarters. I have been looking at old posts (from over the past 8 years or so) and have seen countless problems/nightmares regarding the quality of the quarters and how much work is involved getting them to fit correctly. I was looking at the AMD quarters and some swear by them and some say they are terrible. A few other brands had the same feedback.

I am a pretty novice welder/body guy and SHOULD be able to install new quarters, however I am pretty sure I don't have the skill to fix the gaps and add metal where necessary to make them fit properly.

Are there any quarters that fit pretty true nowadays or is this something that I will have to farm out no matter what?

Default

I have had best results with AMD. The body lines are sharper and the metal is closer to the same gauge as factory. I've used them all, AMD has a all around better fit and customer support. In my opinion.
