I think I see a spec of dust in that one weld there.....




Love the tank strap! The tank is pretty cool too....

There is Greg! I'll remove it right away sir.

The fuel tank is all hand formed and gas welded. It's something I learned from a good friend Don Baumunk, owner of Fat Katz. Don is a master of sheet metal!

I took a class from Ron Covel --- he likes to weld aluminum with gas... which in this day and age of A/C TIG I was kinda shocked to learn.... but it's a fantastic skill!! He'll actually weld with a strip of the same sheet he's working with so there's no (or very little) discoloration.

are you using a gas lense to weld stainless, or backpurging, or maybe both? a friend of mine is telling me to use a gas lense, i was wondering what your setup is. thanks for the help. amazing work on this car and everything else you posted!
