We got some real updates here. But I am sure it will get derailed in about 4 minutes.

Got the AP brakes in my possession. Thanks to Mary P for dropping them off, and thanks James Shipka for the nice pedigree going on my car.

Watson took the pan and filter off and saw some metal in the filter so they wanna take it all apart and clean it really good and fix a couple nicks and things. They don't think anything big is wrong but don't wanna throw it up on their dyno without knowing what's what. I can appreciate that and agree. Best guess is a lifter broke previously and was just not cleaned out that well afterward.

some nicks in the crank and back of piston

Finalized front suspension details and the Billstein shocks and Hypercoil springs with Jake and that are on its way in the coming weeks. Going with his custom wider control arms for extended track width. Like on Shipka's OLC, we are aiming for a square track width or even slightly wider in front (.5 to 1").

I promise to kinda try and be a non-laugher and only comment on the excellent tech you have provided free of charge...low these many years.

Hmm you didn't tell me you pulled a main cap, or two. I'm guessing the look of the bearing made Mike feel good about the build. That and the Callies cast into the arm of the crank.

I don't like the look of the piston skirt in picture three. Have them tear it down and blueprint it.

Exactly. He is a picky SOB and doesn't tolerate much for BS I have found, or even uncertainty. And while it costs more, I appreciate it.

Yeah they mentioned that along with a lot of little things but nothing they felt were too bad or couldn't be fairly easily remedied.

End play was normal.
Needs a new Jesel belt.
The bearings looked pretty good.

Mike had to leave early for his 38th anniversary dinner or woulda pulled the VC's and inspected further. Next week.
