Ask them who their preferred carriers are.

I can purchase shipping through Mast at their rate which makes it $385 each way or $770 round trip. Shipping motors isn't cheap.

Plan to pull the motor this weekend and need to find a crate or at least a pallet I can build a crate around in order to ship it back.

That's a very good deal on shipping a motor halfway across the country. Try getting quotes and you'll agree.

I would do it if it were me Chad, for sure.

It doesn't seem at all like Mast was reluctant in this case, considering Chad was not the original purchaser and any warranty has time out at this point.

A serious engine is the single most expensive part of building these cars and Mast is at the top of my short list to supply it. I don't take rumors, statements, or otherwise lightly when it comes to things like this.
I agree Donny.

XLexus.... I would think since you're willing to say this publicly you might be willing to share details privately.... I have PM'ed you for this info if you would care to oblige.

Thanks

Sorry to hear of your troubles Chad. Cant say I haven't been there before. $385 sounds reasonable as it cost $350 each way to Indiana and back.

I think that is extremely generous of them to try to make it as painless as possible. Given that you're not the original purchaser... and the age of the motor since purchase etc.

I'd prefer to have the original builder tear into it than have someone else... if it was my motor.

100% in agreement

If I was Mast there's a multitude of reasons I'd want to have control of the resolution process as well.

I talked with the guys from MAST during SEMA this year. Great people who take a lot of pride in their work! I have no doubt they will take care of you.
