Not everyone runs the hydro or manual. As long as your engine combo will provide enough vacuum, there's no reason you can't run a vacuum booster. I have a stock vacuum-style booster on my C6 non-Z06 setup and I love it. Pedal feel is Porsche-like and stopping power is definitely limited by my 245 front tires.
