holy crap! i would hate to be in the position of those owners, wouldnt know whether to cry or wring her friggin neck!! it is also very scary that a fairly low speed hit destroyed that car like that! imagine a side hit at highway speeds!

I've been saying for years that not only do they need to outlaw texting and driving, but if caught it should carry the same punishment as a DUI. Maybe then people will start paying a little more attention.

we had a shocking example of this last week here in Oz. Guy finishes a 5 year big $$ build, at Australia's largest modified car show...bam...idiot texting writes it off.

Lucky 2 guys got out of the back seat only a few mins earlier, and luck the SUV driver didn't have kids in his car...yes that IS a ride on lawn mower in the back of his car, he had not restrained it in the trailer

Check out the first photo, yes that's a ride on lawn mower in the back of the territory, he must have been flying when he smacked into the walky.....

SUV hit at over 80K's (approx 50 MPH) and never braked before hitting

This is the scrounge of driving these days....distraction
