The 62 is in good hands. It was sold to the most interesting man in world's son. Stay thirsty my friends.

The 57 was sold to Greg's truck driving partner in crime. This guy is more excited to see the country side from the passenger window of a luxurious Freightliner then a 4 year old boy at a monster truck show. Greg's Italian friend name Pierre.

You just can't stand the speculation.....

A buddy of mine saw the '57 at Ironworks this summer and stepped up

and purchased the project, despite the regrets of the seller (Rodger). We (Pierre and I) picked it up on our way back from the GNRS. A build thread will be started when work on it begins. He's having a new "shed" built so it will be 6 months or so.

I just spent 1032 miles @ 62 mph - listening (numerous repetitions) about every detail of "the build".....

Listening or interpreting hand signals ? How did you get him to sit still for that picture, did Pierre fall down and you just seize the opportunity and took it?

Your car show/pickup experience seems to have gone much smoother than mine.

I really liked that 57, but I made a decision based on smart business not emotions. Now I just need to sell a few other cars.

The man @ 74 years old - has more energy than the Eveready bunny... but he is fun, and eventually he wears down.

His '56 BelAir hardtop BBC is - to put it mildly - SPECTACULAR. The plan for the '57 is to finally build/own a hot rod he can drive. He is more than just a little excited about that aspect of hot rodding. He worked and raised a family etc all his life -- and doing a couple "road trips" with me has exposed him to a whole new way of life. He's anxious - and willing - to build a car with the Ironworks exceptional chassis - an LS motor etc that will carry him on new adventures in comfort and style.

He was sold (he sold himself!) on this build via ONE ride in another '57 with an Ironworks chassis. He couldn't believe how well the car rode with 4 X 200 pound plus guys in it... and it didn't scrape bottom going into driveways... and it sits so low (bad azz!) etc. That was it! He had to have one!

It will be fun to see this one come together... and it's a perfect project for him. The heavy lifting/building is done and it's just a matter of doing the finish work. My problem has already begun - which is to hold him to the "driver" build... because to say he's a perfectionist is an understatement.

Great back story! That would have made for a very entertaining trip.
