We stopped by the Briz's shop on the way back from GNRS to tune up on a few details... The color has been picked and the interior leather was also. We discussed the front suspension - it will all be chromed. Roy says that if I painted the I-beam axle... that I should only do that if it's going to be a show car only. It's getting the Buick finned drums over the Wilwood discs up front for that traditional look.
I have to tell ya --- the body is absolutely amazing quality! The floors are .125 steel plate! The doors - even just sitting on it's wood crate - shut with just a super solid "click". The trunk uses a new OEM (Ford we think) hinge that opens in an articulated manor so the trunk lid is almost vertical when opened... making this real easy to load and unload without smashing your forehead into the leading edge.
The frame boys told me it would be a body on roller next week! These guys are so efficient it's amazing.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd be on a work list with Mumford!
Love this frame rail!
We're frenching in this tail light and the license plate - exactly like the GNRS AMBR winning Mumford '27 Tracknosed T....
They started the brake lines while we were talking -- and in a matter of a couple hours - they were done!
