We stopped by the Briz's shop on the way back from GNRS to tune up on a few details... The color has been picked and the interior leather was also. We discussed the front suspension - it will all be chromed. Roy says that if I painted the I-beam axle... that I should only do that if it's going to be a show car only. It's getting the Buick finned drums over the Wilwood discs up front for that traditional look.

I have to tell ya --- the body is absolutely amazing quality! The floors are .125 steel plate! The doors - even just sitting on it's wood crate - shut with just a super solid "click". The trunk uses a new OEM (Ford we think) hinge that opens in an articulated manor so the trunk lid is almost vertical when opened... making this real easy to load and unload without smashing your forehead into the leading edge.

The frame boys told me it would be a body on roller next week! These guys are so efficient it's amazing.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd be on a work list with Mumford!

Love this frame rail!

We're frenching in this tail light and the license plate - exactly like the GNRS AMBR winning Mumford '27 Tracknosed T....

They started the brake lines while we were talking -- and in a matter of a couple hours - they were done!

You're really worried about that?

That is slick. Two hours for a brake line! What stand offs are those?

Great project Greg. More pics please

Two hours for ALL the brake lines -- front and back! I was blown away -- but the way this shop is set up -- one guy just does brake and fuel lines. When you do that day in and day out over and over again.... you get pretty efficient!

You can't see it in the pic -- but there are lines on the chassis all marked out - then he just pulls measurements from those lines and lays out the tubing - bingo bango - done.

I have some of those brake line holders but can't remember where I got them. I tend to use Kugel Komponents for a source... but didn't take the time to look before posting this.

The quality of their work looks great... nothing like a nice solid feel when you close the door.

Very nice Greg

Greg,

Your 1st post in this thread today should have just been a warning of the subject matter that was to follow.

It's like trying to eat a huge steak after a month(s) of bread and water.

Wow and wow.

Now that is a shop visit I wish I had been at.

Funny about the chrome. Until he said that at GNRS I always thought the opposite. You learn something new every time you listen.

If you confirm which Line holders those are post it up. I know a guy who will be spending more than a couple hours doing some brake lines soon.

Looks really sharp. Gotta love duece rails.

Those line holders are offered by billet specialties and Kugel Components. I used the BS ones on my FF car. Drill your hole, tap it, and thread those dudes in.

I am glad you posted this build here. I like all kinds of builds and this one is going to be very cool and I don't even have to stray from a pro touring website to get my hot rod fix. I like the look of that front axle and the finned drums will be cool.
