These trucks are truly a blast. It took 6.5 months to get my hands on one from the day that I ordered it. Very well written article!!

Oh, and as for the fuel mileage........

Nice to have an owner weigh in.

A friend has had one as a daily driver for over a year, they are good looking and he's really enjoyed it. He's an off-road motorcycle and mountain bike guy so he pushes it on Oregon back roads within reason but understands it's limits unlike some.

Like this.

Strangely they didn't blast music during the vid and left those objectionable motor/exhaust/terrain sounds in.

Yup, pretty close to that little tighter in Central Oregon.

The one truck that's somewhat over-shadowed in the Raptor hype is the Tundra.
Here's my buddy I'm having dinner with tonight:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drPb1nwTkFE

It took me over two years to convince him a Tundra was the solution to his needs after his Dodge, Ford, and Chevy's wouldn't take the daily abuse of his scouting and hunting..........then he lands a TV commercial deal with them that included installing a TRD supercharger. Give the Tundra some control arms and shocks and it would be a real player. Most of this video is filmed in south central Oregon around Paisley where we varmint hunt and recreate a couple times every year.

Bottom line is a Raptor or prepped Tundra are very functional and entertaining vehicles.

2 years?! Maybe you should've been awarded the commercial.

My son's a R & D engineer (stuff 5 years out) at Toyota.

So I guess the Tundra's ok.
