Don't let me near your garage or that T56 will disappear.

Hope the cat pulls through I can't wait to see how she runs.

DG you should be talking about how cool it would be to actually putting your shortblock together at the end of this week

Yeah I agree -- quality cannot be rushed (within reason). I am sure it will be dead nuts when done. At least that makes the waiting go a little better.
Yep, that's my position on it also. It doesn't help that I have everything ready to go on my side and I'm waiting(for more than a year to drive my car again). Makes me a bit 'antsy'. If it were a situation where I had plenty of other things to work on in the mean time, it'd be easier to just roll with it.

Any day now hopefully.

Thanks Dale. Much appreciated. And thanks again for sharing your Magnum install details. Those have helped a lot. I "think" I'm ready.

Hey Chris, I know both of us are doing the Magnum conversion and both using the GM ZR1 hydraulic throwout bearing… so I thought I would pass along the latest info I found out on the plumbing for the bearing. I was not able to get a fitting that plugged into the GM quick disconnect. I bought two different lines and neither one fit. Mcleod said they could make me one but it would take several weeks…

So I ended up pulling out the transmission and throwout bearing out… and I had a local hydraulic tubing vendor cut off the GM quick disconnect fitting (the black plastic piece) and silver solder on a 4 AN fitting. Now I can just use standard AN fittings.

Throwout bearing with AN fitting ready to go back in

I see you got the new transmission jack... that makes the job a lot easier.

Cool, thanks for that update Dale. Hopefully will be tackling all that next week. Yep, the jack is gonna make things so much easier. I like how you can easily adjust/set the angle.

Chris, the project is moving along. Those parts look great. Can't wait to hear that thing fire up. Congrats on the progress. That Holley ECU is tucked very nice, like most of your other work on the car, it looks perfect! Great work...

Anxiously waiting on this engine build . Gonna be killer.

Hopefully your buddies aren't as hard on you as mine are on me about not going LSx like the rest of the world. They just can't fathom why I'd want to spend the money on a big block. They just don't "get it" I guess .

Did you pick up that short block?
