I don't have any seats in particular I want in mind. I just need more head clearance. My head scraps the roof and I'm gonna need to where a helmet when I go down the track.

I have a 69 Camaro with I think 3rd gen seats in it.

I have thought about butting them right to the floor. But I would like my wife to beable to drive it once in a while.

Once you pick out your seats, Wedge Engineering is supposed to make lower seat brackets or make your own. I made mine and also extended them to the rear more which will help a little with the slop of the seat bracing. Mine are 5/8" thick not 1 3/4" like the factory made ones.

I'm a dealer for Cipher.. have a look around and see if you like any of their seats... they are very nice quality. As for brackets I can get your either Wedge brackets or the new Planted brackets which literally sit on the floor. The seat sliders bolt to those, and they will bolt into your Camaro. PM me for a quote.

Tony, thanks for posting the link for Cipher. I'm in the market for seats, and I'm not going to spend a fortune on mine. This is perfect.

Sorry for the thread hijack!

You can also remove the seat pan and mount the seat to the floorpan. Sufficient structure must be added to support the seat.

The Cipher seats with the lowest brackets will give good head room. I've been running them for about a year now. They're not perfect but for the price, they are very impressive and comfortable.

I've got nothing but good feedback on their seats I've sold.

Wedge makes their brackets and you can get them low or adjustable which I recommend if you're 5'8" ish or under.

Cipher is also selling the Planted seat brackets. I should be getting a set of those to try out so I'll post up some pics with information, but they look pretty nice.
