Should call this project add, 18 years ago I did the bodywork on this car for the previous owner. I ended up owning it not in a good way. I hated this car out of spite. Everytime I looked at it I thought How in the hell do you make a 51 chevy styline cool. So around the first of october I drug it out and did a little work, brakes, carb, fuel pump, It actually ran pretty smooth and I decided to do something with it if nothing else get all the parts back on it and try to sell it.
Then I went to the sema show at the end of october and saw a sweet 51 style chevy pickup. It was a flat silver with red interior. Bingo, I was on to something. I am not crazy about the ratrod cars I like a little more paint then rust, So I used hotrod flatz silver, Bright red on the dash. Red wheels with cop style hubcaps. I replaced the headliner and all the glass except rear window. New weatherstrip and lowered it in the front about 2 inches. I know it's not a camaro or chevelle. Just wante to post a few pictures of something a little different. Should be a nice little summer cruiser.[IMG]http:

Reason: added pictures
I'll come right out and say I dig it. Looks like a fun car to drive around, they can't all be fully built monsters anyway. Variety is important.
Thanks, I am working on a 69 camaro as well, I was a little burned out and give the old car a simple workover, It has been fun, I am waiting on the seats and door panels. They will be done in red vinyl, It will be fun to drive steers so easy, and the sixer runs like a sewing machine. Hopefully I will be driving it by this summer,
Hot rods come in all shapes and colors, glad to see your finishing it. Always like those old chevy's. My 56 is a cruiser but may grow up to be a track car. That's if I ever get the camaro finished.
