So do you think the sheet for the '65 @ 3015 lbs is correct?? Do you remember having it corner weighed?

The early mustangs weigh much less than the new mustangs; but as a consequence there is much more flex in the early mustangs compared to the new cars. The weight of 3,015 is right on; yes I had the the corner weights set at one time.

My 07 Mustang shed a lot of weight via carbon doors, gutted interior, lexan, lighter engine/radiatior cradle, but pounds were added with the supercharger, and eight point cage.

Okay -- a while back I asked the shop to weigh the '65 Mustang.... it took awhile but here's the response from them.

LF 840 RF 789
LR 722 RR 684

#3036 with driver weight (I weigh 195 #'s and told them this info)

cross LF/RR 50.2%

camber 2.25
caster 2.25
toe out 1/8"

During this process they found the car was toed in --- so they re-set it to toe out. So my paying them to weigh the car in order to respond to this thread was a good thing -- 'cause they got the alignment right!

Thanks for that. Was definitely an interesting read.

The glass is probably one big saving of weight. They mentioned of this company http://proglasswindows.com/FormedWindows.html which produces Lexen glass that can still be used like normal, wind up windows etc.

Has anyone actually got that glass from them installed on there car?

How would that look?

Will it look like glass but not glass or will it look like dodgy plastic like a drag car.
