Default Squatting like crazy. 69 Camaro dse 2" drop

So I have about 20 miles on the car.
I have the Detroit speed 2" drop springs with their shackle kit, Koni adjustable shocks.

At first I really liked the ride height.
It was about 26" to the fender from the ground all the way around.

Now. About a few weeks of it being done.
The back driver side is 25",
back passenger side is 24.5",
Front driver side is 25 3/8"
Front passenger side is 25.5"

I'm ok with the front height. I'm concerned with the back.
When I get on the car it squats pretty bad.
I have 235-60-15's ( 26" tire ) and the fender is cutting into the tire about 2-3 inches down from the top. The tires are tucking up in the wheel wells.
Is this normal. Is it normal to have one side be that much ( .5" ) off from side to side.

One thing and I didn't think it would make a difference is I have the battery in the trunk on the lower side. Again not sure if it would bring it down that much.

I was hoping for much more stiffer ride and not as much squat. Is this something I SHOUlDNT have assumed.
Do I have a bad spring.
Can I make new shackles to raise the accordingly to the height I want.
Does anything sound wrong with this.

Not sure what to think. I want to buy 15 x8 with a 5" bs and put some 275-50's on it. But I'm worried that since my 235-60-15 on a 15x8 with a 4" bs are cutting the tires from the height. It will donut to my new tires also.

I also care greatly about appearance and want it to look good all the way around. And have a 1" range bothers the hell out of me.

I just wanted to give the whole senerio

Thanks for any answers.

If you have DSE products -- call them and talk to them.

Doubt its a bad spring in the rear...the front is pretty damn close

When you tightened all the back mounts up, was the car fully assembled?....sitting on its wheels? You may have something bound up in the rear....I'd loosen up all the mounts in the rear, bounce it up and down a few dozen times....make sure everything is all lubed up..... then tighten it all back up with the car sitting on all its weight

if that fails....call DSE...they have great product support

One other thing to consider....the factory tolerances were pretty crappy back then...a lot of guys have cars that aren't dead on even....plus over 40 years, these cars get hit, beat on, panels replaced etc etc....so its possible its the body and not the suspension....

.
Now I don't feel so bad about how obssessive I am...

What does it do to the measurements when someone is sitting in the drivers seat? Moving the battery to the right rear should help balance out you sitting in the car?

As the old sayin goes, a picture's worth a thousand words. I agree with Ned, loosen the bolts and see if will settle out. If you are measuring at the wheel center to the bottom of the quarter it seems pretty close for a 3" drop, not a 2". If I recall, mine was always in the 25.5-25.75 to the crease in the quarter. I wonder if you recieved the wrong kit?
