Default BMR spring settling

Just wondered what people are seeing in their big block cars for spring settling? My car is sitting level now with the new springs installing but I would like to drop it a little more. If the springs will settle about an inch I would be happy with that and won't make any changes. Thanks

Springs may settle 1/4" after driving it. They will not settle 1" unless something was wrong with springs, which the springs would need to be removed anyway.

I just re-adjusted the ride height on my brother in laws 69 Camaro... it's not a BBC -- but is a blown SBC and the blower is H E A V Y.... and with dual carbs..

Just as Jay said -- I cranked the front coil overs up 1/4".... and raised the rear 1/2". The rears were adjusted more because the car was set up with empty fuel tank and no upholstery. When you add two people -- full upholstery and a tank of fuel... most of that goes on the rear (coil overs). So the added weight plus a minor amount of settling... and there ya have it!

It's been 1.5 months undriven and it hasn't dropped yet. I guess I will buy some taller ball joints. That should drop it another inch? Any recommendations on where to buy? Thanks

I already installed 1" drop springs on the car. I could return them and go with the 2" drop. After staring at pictures of the car a 1/2" would probably be just right. I think the springs will settle some also so the 2" drop springs may be too much. I was trying to help the front suspension geometry without spending big money on tubular control arms, although I may eventually do those in the future. I dont want to waste money on mistakes so if improving geometry means tubular control arms then I will have to wait until I can afford them. Do the tubular control arms change ride height? Will I need upper and lower control arms? This car is my wifes and not intended to be a corner carver. I'm just trying to improve handling while dropping it a little more.
