Go Pro all the way - They can actually do 4k quality!

I have a gopro 3 and I am very happy with it. GoPro seems to have the most aftermarket support for mounts etc...

However, the countour has GPS which I think can be used to measure speed etc... in the video.

Thanks for the feedback on the cameras... I think the Go Pro and Contour are both good choices from the input here.


I ended up buying a Contour +2 because I wanted the GPS feature for data acquisition... also the Contour can be turned on and off using a free Google Play app on my Android phone. With the app I can also use my phone to view the image the camera is recording to make sure I have the right shot.

I have everything working now and I'm pretty impressed with the technology.... so far so good... I will post up a video when I get it all dialed in.

Dale, all the go-fast guys run two camera's. Get a GoPro for the video quality now that you have the GPS track logging secured.

Some run more.......
