Default Sanity check on GM tail lights/Brake

Sorry for the ignorance... i have no wires and no sockets to use for reference any my EWD is horrific... but for a std tail lamp the two sockets the outer socket is 2 wire 1157 the inner singe wire 1156 for reverse lights.

the outer socket get a Brown/yellow or a brown / Green dependent on side.. this covers tail and marker...
confused about how the brake lights are coming into the picture for this?

Does it feed through the flasher or directional switch constant power when brakes applied?

SO its two wires three lamp functions?

67 camaro Non RS taillights.
