Default Ring Brothers New C10 Handle....well Sort Of!

Was a real pain but in the end I like it.....As u can see these are RB"S 1st gen Camaro handles ......had to cut up 2 new 69 panels to get the geometry right....and do to the extreme angles from buttons to bear claw release i chose to use handles to electrically open door....started with early 70's repop alarm sws which are identical on outside to the stock lock cylinders...batt to them then to h.d. limit sw...push button..batt to h.d. door popper....pulls bear claw

Turn key sw 90*...no batt...effectively locked from outside...inside car..will have a mechanical door handle to release...and a cutoff sw for outside battery mounted in console....Sounds technical...but really simple and effective......jim

Not sure what year specific C-10 you're building, but I just finished the molds for 67-68 Carbon hoods if they are of any interest to you....

I would love a Carbon hood, but can't go that route on this project. First and foremost i would get fired if I even suggested it. My Dad would flip after he has already bought 2 steel hoods and we have cut one completely apart to make it fit. Second, he wants a cowl induction hood which Albert not making at this point. The second point is what makes it ok. Can't have what doesn't exist! But Jim on the other hand, you really should have one!

As long as you provided the fasteners you plan to use,, and a measurement for where they need to be placed on the hood it shouldn't be a problem at all... Think of these hoods like steel for the most part with the exception of mounting surfaces.... We have to place a steel plate within the hood to receive the the bolts as you can't thread to composites alone...

With the custom mod's you're making, a nice flat finished Carbon Ram Air Hood would look sinister and very cool on the build I'd think.....
