When you're working a track event ---- one doesn't want to be in what's commonly called the "kill zone". They're pretty easy to identify... just project the cars most likely off track line. When I was allowed to shoot an Indy car race at Sonoma --- I had my camera on the K wall but I was on the INSIDE of the track at turn 11 NOT on the outside wall!!


Just a miracle this guy wasn't killed. WOW!


The car will be fixed -- and will feel no pain.


Friends of mine used to own a real '63 Grand Sport (#2)... they wrecked it "regularly"..... because they drove the snot out of it. No biggie... just take it back to the shed and get to work!

BINGO!

I've shot at a number of tracks with credentials especially Road America for Trans Am and Indy Cars. Always positioned myself inside the turns especially at turns 5 and 6.
