Ok, I will do that. I did use the search feature and turned up lots of info though not much pertaining to these particular seats. Though this is my first post I have registered here some time ago and enjoy the info in this forum.

I used E46 M3 convertible seats in my 69 with no mods required on the car I did have to remove the plastic covers from the sides of the new sets because it made them too wide. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable...*BONUS* With convertible seats you get built in 3 point seat belts, no need for retrofits

Watch it getting in and out of those seats. You constantly wear the side bolster closer to the door and it causes the threading to fray and the leather to wear quicker.

I used to have an 04 and by the time I sold it was not a pretty thing to open the door to.

Is it still the general consensus that you should add bracing in the floor since the seat is holding you back in a wreck rather than the original restraint locations?

I am.still in shopping mode for these seats and came across a couple of pairs of manually adjustable sets. Not sure if these are narrower at the bottom due to lack of control panel? On bmw forums they say the seats still have power lumbar and bolsters but all the other adjustments are manual. I was not aware they also came in manual but would assume they would be lighter also without motors etc. Anyone know??

The BMW seats fit way better than the G8 seats, We have had a few cars come thru shop with the Bimmer seats in them
