Ridetech vs Speedtech

Hey everyone,

1st time poster, long time lurker! About two years ago I picked up my dream car, a 69 Camaro for a pretty good price. After a couple years of saving some coin, and planning in my head I am finally getting started on the build!

I've got some DSE mini tubs that will be installed and plan to run a 20 x 12 rear tire with a 335/25/20 rear tire. I am looking at running either the Speedtech Grand Touring suspension package, or the Ridetech Level 1 Coil over package with the tru-turn upgrade. I want the car to ride low (The stance of the red Speedtech Camaro is exactly what I'm going for). I am really leaning towards the Speedtech kit as they also offer a 9" housing with brackets welded on, which saves me time and money, and from what I've seen they offer awesome customer service. I have a question regarding the front torque arm mount... I purchased some billet chromed body mounts, and from what it looks like the front torque arm mount is sandwiched between the body and the rear subframe mount. Being as how my mounts are solid, will this not cause the subframe to be tilted ever so slightly causing body gap and alignment issues? I could mill down the rear body mounts, but then of course I'm paying extra to have them re chromed and while this isn't a budget build, it also isn't an unlimited budget build!

My second question is in regards to the ridetech 4 link rear, and it's simple. Does anyone know if they offer a 9" housing with their brackets already installed (couldn't find any on their site), and will it clear a 335 tire with the mini tub.

The car will not be driven on the track. It is being built as a nice cruiser to take out to car shows, and go on those weekend cruises.

As for the second part of your post, you can order a rear from Moser with the ridetech brackets welded on.

To answer the first part. The Torque arm kit includes the correct height body mount for the rear or the sub frame. or you could have yours machined if you want them all to match.

I'm also wondering which way to go. I'm going to be doing a minitub on my 69 camaro. There seems to be basically 3 different set ups. Triangulated 4 link, parallel 4 link with a panhard bar or torque arm. Is it all just preference or is one better than the rest?
