Like the old hill climb guys use to say, the green backs will always take it in the rear but the veterans do it straight up front.

Glad it was a dead center squash instead of a devestating corner hit. I guess that's one way to get that Union jack off the back. LOL

Good to hear he got away better than the car did.

It's not that bad but I'd think I'd like to paint it the opposite colors of the mustang. Body in titanium with yellow stripes. And that would be a good excuse. Hahahahahahaha

I'll wait to hear from Brian to see what happens.

Speaking of carbon fibre body parts, it'll be interesting IMO to see if some company does a deal with James Shipka to sell copies of the '67 OLC front end in CF.
I think it's awesome that Greg and Alex are able to enjoy days like this together - hopefully one day my daughter and I will be able to do the same. Shame that it ended the way it did but I know from experience that Brian will take good care of the car. And as you said Greg... It's a good excuse (not that you needed one).

Skip - I spoke to some folks at SEMA about doing it, I'm just not sure I'm prepared to take the risk. Rather than mess up Greg's thread we can discuss in the OLC reinventing thread.

Wait you don't want to paint it like your iracing car purple and pink?

Default Laguna

Greg
I wish I knew you guys were going to
be at Laguna. I would have figured out how
to get out of handholding. Glad everyone is ok
It would have been fun watching you guys tearing
it up at Laguna. See you guys there in March?
Wondering what they are going to do for noise limits?
I have been told no clubs have been offered 105 days
next year
The Pantera was kicked out of Sears a few years back
running 104/105 db but no meatball at Laguna earlier
this year on a 105 day

Holy Cow!! I'd forgotten about that paint scheme!! Maybe that's the perfect ticket --- it might keep Alex from wanting to drive it!!! PERFECT!!!

Bob --- Yeah --- it would have been fun to have had you join us! It was a NorCal Shelby Club event. They've not only told us no "club" 105db days -- that clubs will be 90dbs!!! A stock Corvette can't make 90 !!

We had a good time --- but there was a lot of delays because there were LOTS -- as in OMG LOTS -- of off track excursions…. and a major track oiling… and it was an easy track to run out of talent real fast.

Charley brought out Mayhem and he only got two sessions in and both were more like half sessions… There was just too much carnage.

It's going to be fun to see what happens during the ARCS event -- because my guess is there's way too much horsepower and way too little talent… and I'm betting there's some pretty banged up stuff at the end of the day. I hope not -- but if this event was any indication -- OH MY.
