Chris, we will definitely be out at the events with you in 2014. I missed the GG's fall event this past year. We did get to see the Maverick at SEMA but you were not at the car. The car looked badass. I'm looking forward to getting a ride in a few months at te GG's Spring event at TMS. Are you planning to register for the USCA event on March 21-23rd at TMS? Hope to connect soon!

Default 1973 Trans Am "Tire Bird" In Popular Hot Rodding

The Trans Am was featured as a tech article in Popular Hot Rodding and Car Craft after SEMA. The car was wrapped in a Jerry Titus early 70's Trans Am Tire Bird design replica "paint" job. It showed very well and highlighted a number of sponsors parts. MSD, West Bend Dyno, BF Goodrich, Dynatech, Wegner and many others contributed to the effort.

Check out the link to read the article and see some more pics of the TA...

Default 73 TA Update: Trunk Clean Up

We received some updates on the progress of the TA today. The guys at West Bend Dyno in West Bend, WI have been hard at work to tidy up the trunk. They relocated and loomed a bunch of wiring for the fuel system and battery. Removed the cool box. Fixed the holes in the trunk floor where the ridetech coil over cannister lines go through to the shocks. The trunk was sprayed with black and aqua splatter paint. Lookin good!

Here is the trunk prior to relocating the wires, installing the roll bar and fixing the holes in the floor.

The Vintage Air system is on the way. The radiator close out panel is under construction. I'll post some pics of that soon. Dynamat has been installed in the interior. Quite a bit of progress has been made. Brad and the guys from WBD are on it.

Default Poor Video of the 1973 TA at SEMA 2013

The link below is a short video off a cell phone of the 1973 TA Tire Bird idling at the MSD Booth in Vegas at SEMA 2013.

We will be getting more dyno videos from West Bend Dyno in the coming weeks after the interior and paint work is completed.

Thanks. I plan to be there but I first have to get a motor and work out a couple other issues that came up during the OUSCI trip.

I forgot you had engine issues on the trip home. Drop a Coyote in the Mavy! That would definitely be different.

What are you thinking for the engine? Replacing with another 347 or something different? I'll be watching on that for sure.

Coyote would be cool but thats an entire new front suspension to make room for it. Id rather slap an LS in there and save myself the headache. But for now, I've got another 347 Im going to be installing. Just have to find the time to go pick it up.

Default 1973 TA Update

The guys at WBD are moving from the trunk to the engine bay. We decided to pull the engine on the TA to smooth the firewall, install a new wiring harness from American Autowire, relocate the wiper motor and add Vintage Air. I have to admit that Brad and his team are on it. We are overly impressed with their responsiveness and ability/willingness to keep us up to date on the progress of the TA.

This was yesterday...

They began by pulling the engine...
