Isn't this the second transmission supplier with delivery issues popping up?

My first reaction is they are having cash flow problems and I just read on the Corvette forum they are telling some folks they are having financial problems. The sales guy is referring folks to Shafi's email. Needless to say I am thinking about doing a chargeback to get my deposit back. Any similar experiences here on this forum?

Thank goodness you asked!

OK I cancelled the order. Will give them a week to process the deposit refund and then initiate a chargeback.

I have spoken with Phoenix who are highly recommended by Steve at Twist Machine and they can help me with this aside from the crossmember and shifter which I think are within my abilities. They are also local to me which is a bonus.

Thanks to everyone for the responses and PM's. I sincerely appreciate it.

I don't know how long its been since you have given the deposit but I would initiate the chargeback right away as the credit card company does take sometime to process the chargeback and if in the meantime they credit your deposit back just let the CC company know its been resolved. That was the problem I was having with them -- they kept telling me that they couldn't credit my card and that they would mail a cheque to me, once I posted on the forums they were magically able to credit my card.

My assumption was that I would have to give them a fair opportunity to give me a refund before initiating the chargeback but I will give the credit card company a call. It has only been 30 days so in theory I have another 60 days to get my chargeback.

Thanks,
Don
