I didn't go back to the beginning to read what brought all of this work on. It was a "done" car....
The paint and interior was a bit tired and worn from past shows and driving events. A lot of what is expected for a car that is driven hard and used as a track car. WBD and MSD needed to do a little more tuning research on the ATOMIC EFI set up for drivability. For the most part, the car is very well sorted. We added some additional levels of safety based upon how we plan to use the car. The roll bar, new harnesses, wiring improvements, and fire bottle would better match the intended purpose and some changes to event requirements. Plus these items give us peace of mind, or at least more peace of mind knowing that if we encounter an incident while driving the car, we improve our chances of avoiding injury. The last item we were interested in was making the car ours, but maintaining the legacy of the car Albert built. The paint scheme and graphics combined with some finishing touches to enhance the overall appearance, but not radically change it is the goal we are shooting for. I can't wait to see how you feel it turns out.

Great goal, and I think it's great that you have the means to accomplish this goal. I've been enjoying watching the TA come together now that I can actually see the pictures. Good luck.

Default Check out the new graphics on the TA...

The carbon fiber hood looks terrific with a fresh coat of cameo white and new decals. The OEM decal is black in the center however the center of the bird was cut out for a unique carbon look on the trans am hood. The shaker is also carbon fiber.

The rear decklid decal is installed. The 73 decals and cameo white paint give the car an original look however, this car is far from original.

Default Please help: Need a transporter from West Bend Dyno to ft. Worth, TX

I posted this in the WTB/Wanted section as well...

I'm in a bit of a bind. The company that was supposed to transport our 1973 Trans Am from West Bend Dyno in West Bend, WI to us in Keller, TX is no longer available. It was set up a couple months ago and now no response when I try to contact him (privateer) but a note from a mutual friend that he "flaked out" and to find an alternative. So I am turning to Lateral-g for some help.

Our goal was to have the car for the USCA event at Texas Motor Speedway on March 21-23rd. The plan was the shipper was to pick the car up on March 17th at the shop in West Bend and head south to deliver the car to us on the 20th.

First off, Is anyone on the forum going to the event and have room for another car? (Slim chance is my guess but figured what the hell, doesn't hurt to ask)

Or are there any members that are in the business of shipping cars that would be interested in making a run down south to deliver the car? Please PM me as I am searching all kinds of alternatives but would prefer to "keep it in the family".

-Enclosed trailer
-Bonded/insured
-References preferred
-shipping zip codes: pick up 53090, drop off 76248

Thanks for your help and I appreciate any feedback that can be offered.

Default Updates on the Camaro! The LSX454 has come to life...

Check out the updated pics. The engine bay is super clean. Standing in front of the car you barely see hoses, wires and lines.

The best part is it was started for the first time this week... Let me know what you think!

The Camaro is beginning to look like a car again.

Intake is mocked up. We decided to weld it up and paint it the body color.
