I got to check out the Weld rig this weekend. He's definitely traveling in style. And apparently he likes to haul stuff for other people too! There was all sorts of stuff laying the back of that rig. And a couple of pretty decent cars in there too.

If you read the post right above your's Bryan -- that statement is exactly what happens!!

Hobaugh Camaro
Voelkel 48 Hour Camaro
Gwen's '33

A few zillion brand new cones for USCA
All the USCA timing gear

A whole bunch of RideTech gear/displays...

This trailer was made to haul CARS... not freight... but it's what friends do for friends.

I get to dump Voelkel's car and his stuff --- and all the USCA stuff is done as far as I go (next up it heads to Florida I think).... BUT --- I hate big BUT's --- Ed Capen asked if I could take his new Corvette back to Nor Cal -- and before he asked, I managed to buy a gas pump - a 6' GULF sign - A Mobil Lollipop sign - and a "BAR" sign... This will be "fun" trying to find safe places for all that stuff. UGH! So I drove 24 miles out to a Loves truck stop tonight and bought some freight bars (they lock across the inside of the trailer to secure freight - they work on "friction") so I can have a couple places to "secure to".

Sounds like you've started a whole new career.

You know me Jody.... I'm always happy to lend a hand. The smiles on Brian and Steve Hobaugh's face - because they're about to win back to back Good-Guys Auto X's.... and lending a hand to my good friends at FM3 and OPTIMA for all they do for us... Who could say that's not fun. And RideTech is a huge supporter of all we do... and Bret is just one of the good guys... so if he'd have asked me to take the 48 to Florida - I'd have probably said - "sure, what the hell".

I don't have room for the 10 foot "bomb" thing that was at the swap meet though... and it would have really looked kool hanging from the ceiling of the new shed!

Did you say bomb? I picked this up yesterday from a guy out by Divers, lil bigger than 10'.
Uh ya, I have no idea....My neighbor helped unload it and said that I am now neighborhood watch captain.

Have fun, drive safe

Oh Yeah buddy! That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!

The one that was at the swap meet was a bit more "rustic" than that --- and was a U Haul Rental sign at some point with the phone number etc on it --- it was defiantly sketchy. Just the way it should be.

After loading the trailer up today -- I'm really really glad I didn't buy it. There's not a square foot of this POS that doesn't have something in it. No room for bomb signs!!

GW...I know you don't want public displays of affection and all that, but man...towing cars for people, helping out vendors, equipment for event organizers. I know you've got nothing but $$ and time and no life (jk) but seriously, that's very generous of you.

Mad props big daddy

Greg, it was a pleasure meeting you and chatting very briefly when in the staging lane to make a run. Disappointed I didn't get to talk more with the crazy ass weather. Hope to see ya next weekend for the USCA event.
