They have a long road ahead of them and life won't be "normal" for quite awhile.

Sieg, that hill has been nicknamed "slide hill" longer then I've been alive. We'll see what happens. The finger pointing and blame is mostly media driven.

I am a personal friend of Dbasher. He spent the whole week gathering supplies, gear, money, food, etc and drove it up there to the workers. Proud of you.

Thanks buddy! Good to see you sign in over here, lots of good people....watch out for that Weld fella.

About the slide. Imagine with one event, you've just lost multiple friends and a few family members. Not only that but your kids have lost their friends and family members, how are you supposed to deal with that. The people of this area don't rely on anyone, they dig in and make things happen. They hunt, fish, farm and log the area. They take care of one another. The logging crew that I'm in touch with pulled off a paying job (190 miles away) that Saturday and have been working with their own gear and up until last Thursday their own fuel. Why? Because that's their community and it needed to be done. If their story could be told everyone should read it!

This being a car site, I'll get back on topic.

The "mother hen" of the crew, reminds me of my aunt, has a bitchin lil Falcon. Not sure of the year but its the right year if that makes sense. I'm going to surprise her with a set of finned valve covers I've had kicking around forever. They aren't new, actually they're vintage M/T made in Japan...not China. I know she'll get a kick out of em and be something she will use. I'm headed up again this weekend with my two boys, I'll snap a couple pictures of it.

That's what happens with "clear cutting", very sad tragedy, but the logging co that destroyed that hillside should be held responsible and have charges filed against them.
