An LS7 would be awesome but Chevy has made it pretty clear in the past that the Vette will stay on top as far as hp and performance. It's probably a safe bet that one of the V8's will be the 5.3 DOD engine, the other is anyone's guess.

Well they could easilly offer an LS7 with a slightly different state of tune that put's it's output below that of the ZO6. In similar fashion as Porsche offering the Cayman with more power than a Boxster, yet a bit less than a 911.

V8s will probably be a 5.3L base and the new LS3 (6.2L) being the performance version.

If that's true then I bet we see the LS7 conversion kits out any day now...

I'm guessing there will be 3 engines as well....but I don't think that 5.3 will be one of them. For sure there will be a V6 (you have to have that one). The next will be LS2. And lastly, a dialed down LS7. Corvette will probably see a significant horsepower upgrade when Camaro debuts and right about that time we should see a new powerplant going into Z06 to distance itself from the LS7 Camaro.

Of course these are just guesses.
