No — I stretched the chassis not the cab - cab and bed are stock dimensions.... and yes - these are tight little cabs. I’m still shaking my head thinking about my BIL Rudy driving - and we didn’t change seat positions between us... Rudy is 6’3” ish.... I’m 4’ 3” or less....

His knee did repeatedly push in the 4 way flasher button on the column. LOL

Greg,

Where would you put a stretch be in one of these trucks...lengthen the doors or add room behind the seats?

The ‘40 has been getting much “love” — a full feature in the GoodGuys Gazette — and cover and full story in the latest issue of Wheel Hub magazine - and a PPG paint Ad..... so far, two Top 10 picks — and today a Gary’s Pick at GoodGuys Scottsdale.

Gary Meadors was the founder of GoodGuys. Sadly he passed last year.... so the award is an honor to me. He was truly a GOOD GUY! It was his Yellow ‘32 Ford Tudor that I was asked to drive on the 2017 Hall of Fame Tour.... I had turned that offer down because CHRA (builder of the ‘40) had asked me to drive their 68 Corvette well beforehand - and I felt I needed to honor that commitment ...but that car had starter trouble and so they rolled the ‘32 out of the trailer. Marc Meadors was supposed to drive the ‘32 on the tour but had a last minute change of plans so the car was already at DSE. Lucky for me - they just put it in a trailer and were hauling it on the tour. I’m a hot rod guy.... so that kind of stuff means something to me. Just trying to put a little story behind the meaning of this award for me personally. Not trying to be a name dropper..... it was just lucky me is all.

Then today I win this. Makes it a little “more special”.

The award......
