LoL I thought you where joking.

I've had them for a few years. If I remember correctly I got them at HomeDepot. Laurie ran into the wall at the back of the garage once, so in an attempt to save the wall I bought those. In her defense, there wasn't much room for the truck and you had to get really close to the wall. Man was she pissed. LMAO

Thanks Chief. Lot going on and it can get kind of stressful. Yesterday, I was towing the car down to have the 4 bar installed and hit a brand new, still in the box, never used......DISHWASHER! Car in front of me hugged around it and I had nowhere to go. Jerking the wheel would have been a bad idea. I dropped an F Bomb, squared up on it best I could and that sucker exploded into about a billion parts and sent shrapnel everywhere. Imagine what hitting a shopping cart full of cardboard and tin cans would look like if you hit it at 65 MPH. I got lucky. Nothing more than a scuff mark on the front bumper of my truck. Others....not so much. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Jeff and I found an L76 drop out, which we completely tore down and rebuilt. Lost all the VVT stuff of course. Upgraded a few items and added a bigger CAM. Jeff estimates about 560-ish HP. Nothing to crazy and plenty of fun...for now.

Had the stock valve covers powder coated at the same time as the front sub. Figured it was worth looking at.

Those valve covers look good. You went with a wrinkle finish on the sub? If you use a bed liner for the undercoating, it's going to tie in real nice. We can discuss further over cocktails this weekend.

I figured that I better "jump in" on this build thread, since we actually started it a couple months ago, with sourcing the majority of the parts and main components for Curtis' build
I had to keep explaining to my wife that I wasn't building another car for myself with all the stops that both the UPS and FedEx drivers were making at my house with parts for this build, while Curtis was away for work

As mentioned, we sourced a low mileage pullout 08' L76 6.0L
I broke it down and went through the complete engine
machine work was handled locally by my trust shop Rick @ HBR Competition Engines
I removed the DOD/AFM setup and VVT
-clean up deck of block (.004"), hone std bore, polish crank
-new rings, main, rod & cam bearings
-Melling oil pump
-new LS2 HD timing set and damper
-new GM gaskets, seals, LS2 timing cover kit, LS3 valley cover
-LS7 lifter set w/ LS2 trays
- EPS cam 226/234 598/601 113+2 LSA cam
-Comp Cams 7.425" .080 hardened pushrods
-GM #823 rectangle port cylinder heads, milled, comp valve job, PRC .650" dual valve springs w/ titanium retainers, "LS3" rocker set w/ Comp Cams trunion upgrade kit installed
-ARP fasteners (Heads, cam, balancer, flywheel & PP)
- new LS3 intake manifold assembly w/ rails, 42# injectors & map
- new LS2 "silver blade" dbw 90mm throttle body
-new Corvette C6 harmonic balancer w ARP bolt and oil pan kit

will be installing a new ACT Sport/ Race 6 pad Clutch kit w/ ACT Prolite lightened flywheel
The trans is a "new" rebuilt LS/F-body T56 Stage 2 build, completely done by Fabian @ DG Customz (formerly of Texas Drivetrain Performance)

We just had another member with similar build (stock LS3 w/same cam in a 69' Camaro) put down 480rwhp/ 450rtq through a Magnum 6spd & 9", on a Dynojet dyno
