I know everyone loves Jets and Van Halen....

Heres my favorite shot from 2 years ago.....scared the hell out of my boy, he was 11 months at the time. This time around I hope to see him redeem himself. Not the Blue Angles but an F-18E

Hey Vince, Might try and take the boy this year to see all this. Never been to Fleet week, where is a good place to watch from?

Crissy field but I don't like crowds.

We usually have brunch at Joe's crab shack then walk a block down to the water front and watch next to the USS Pampanito Submarine museum. There's a small open area there. We get there early (11am) to get good spots. Red Lines

If you are coming from the Bay Bridge i'd plan on getting there by 10am. It gets bad after that.

One year we parked at the parking structure across from the Spy shop and it was a great view but was $10 more to do so. $40 total to park there.

If you want loud, get up by the gift shop at the Golden Gate Bridge. The jets get super close and fast when they make their approach to Crissy field. But you don't get to see the full show.

Best place is on the back of a boat. A lot of guys giving boat rides that weekend.

Two years ago I was doing a maintenance on top of a roof on UCSF Parnassus and they flew over during practice. Pretty cool having them buzz 150 feet above me. Still not as cool as when I was station at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hi and they were using our hanger for their base away from home. Our hanger was the closest to the runway so we got to watch them practice their marching out, plane captain commands and then take off 6 wide...

here you can see them housed in the rear of America.....The Navy will commission its newest amphibious assault ship, USS America (LHA 6), during a 1 p.m. EDT ceremony Saturday, October 11, 2014, in San Francisco, California.
