So I lifted the rear of the car last weekend and beat on the tires. And beat. And beat... I rotated them and beat some more. I never heard anything that resembled my clunking type noise. I didn't have time to swap back the original Baer pads, but that is next on my list of things to try.

don't forget to do a nut and bolt for good measure.
