I took the kids north for Skiing and came back to a bunch of pictures - some you may have already peeked at on Facebook .

As y'all know, Scott narrowed the DSE stuff I sent him, 2". He also cut the upper factory control arm 2". I plan to make a tubular arm when it comes back, already have a set of factory upper arms here to build a jig from. No sense to me having DSE tubular stuff and a cut and welded factory upper.

He's working with DSE on a sway bar now, if not a splined one will probably work with the sway bar links I bought from DSE - would probably give me more adjust-ability too. He's also working with Ride Tech to get the right shock, since the narrowed arms will need a shorter stroke.

It's now 62" WMS to WMS. Scott reports that a 12'' wheel with 8'' back spacing will fit well. I will roll the lips on the quarters that were installed. May also go with flares and wider stance... still have that bug in my head.

I now have to figure out what mods to do to the rear 2012 Camaro SS rotors I have. Also need to order axle shafts for the ZO6 splines.

I am really looking forward to getting this back to wrap up the final details and get my enclosed trailer back.

Just read through this whole thread when I should be out working! Very cool build. Way past the scope of what I can do, but inspiration nonetheless. haha

Sucks redoing work...but I'm glad it's back on track. I'm actually redoing some hack jobs on car...some from the previous owner and some from myself when I was 19 years old. (My shifter and ebrake setup being one of them) haha

In this pic after the Lizard Skin you can see the box I made to close out the shifter and serve as one of the 4th-gen console mounts. You can barely see the hole in the tunnel for the ebrake cable pass through too.

I'm glad to see that DSE setup fits under the fender too. I did the same relocation when I smoothed my firewall but took the cheap stock wiper route for now. That DSE would be a nice upgrade as the budget allows.

Anyone want this project for cheap?

I am starting to hate it, as it's 3 steps back to one forward.

I've lost that loving feeling.

I was supposed to race this, this year. Instead, the 2015 Z06 and my Black GMC went.

I'll take PM's before I post it up.

I pm'd you JJ. But I think you shouldn't give up. Don't let the car defeat you. Take a step back and put it aside. There's really no deadlines to meet besides the ones in your own mind. Things will fall into place if you allow them to.

I am not defeated. I can build the car. I just don't want to.

Most gear heads emotionally invest in their cars. I am negatively invested.

Instead of working on this, or paying someone to work on this, I'd rather drive/race my black GMC or the Z06 Vette.

sometimes a bad experience can ruin the feel for a car. I don't blame you at all.
