We're headed down from the Seattle area Friday morning and should be rolling in right around dinner time. Anybody know if we have access to the track on Friday night?

Greg, did Jimi find you a spot on the grounds or will you be out front? It'd be nice to use the roof top again to get a birds eye view for Sunday.

Looks to be a good size turn out so far. Quite a few non GM and a handful of 2nd gen camaros which is cool. Hanging at the track, seeing friends and picking up more cool parts...what more could you want?

After an eventful couple of weeks working with Ron Sutton and with the help of the guys at Raymond's Performance it looks like we're set for this weekend! We've made more changes than I'd care to remember... Hope we've gone the right way. Should be fun regardless!

If you did what he laid out for you... and you didn't vary.... you'll be a happy man!

The Sacramento-area weather people have predicted a "chance" of conditions that should make the Northwest-types feel at home . . . bring your umbrellas.

I am rolling in in the evening on Friday as well and the track told me that the gates will be open late.

Be safe going in to turn 1 people. Its an off camber short sweeper and you may enter at a high rate of speed since its at the end of a fairly long straight. If you enter incorrectly say by letting your foot off the throttle suddenly then turning you will lighten up the rear end and possibly spin. Especially a concern with 200 tw tires.

Come up on T1 carefully by hugging the k rail on the right side and then steady turn in aiming for and touching the inside curb mid late apex.

When approaching T1 keep a look out on the opposite side of the k rail where cars typically enter the track. Best time to look for cars entering track is when you are going down the straight and begin viewing the start/finish tower.

I'm sure the flaggers and pre-grid folk will be in full communication but just something to be aware of.

Have fun and keep the shiny side up

I saw a Porsche go off track at the exit of T1 a few years back. I'm sure he gave the corner worker quite the scare when the car hit the tire barrier sideways with enough force to send the car airborne. Turn 8 is another one to be weary of, the high-speed left-hand kink. Not a difficult turn, but running too wide on exit will have you mowing grass until you scrub off speed.

You only run wide there on exit if you missed the apex.... people get lazy... and they'll pay for it when they do.

The other one that will get people is T9 when they freak out and do a big lift before going over the blind crest... LOL

Or T3 -- when they enter too hot and lift on the off camber....

This is going to be GREAT!!

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THE TRACK PRIMER AVAILABLE TO ALL VIA THE TRACK WEBSITE. It's a great track -- and is very safe because there's not much to hit ---- if you DO go off track.
