It is entirely possible that I never noticed the extra hole, but I haven't had any oil leaks since the swap.

Which motor mount plates did you use?

I just put an Autokraft on my LS3/525 crate motor to work with my Speedtech sub frame.

Perfect and great ground clearance.

I'm putting mine on my crate motor, do I need a new gasket or are they good to reuse. I have a habit of going overboard when it's not really needed.

chichirone, Beautiful motor! How did that oil thermostat fit with your headers on the motor?

Thanks everyone.

What u are asking about is on older ls engines, mostly truck engines the 3rd or 4th bolt from the back on the driver side was never drilled from the factory. It never cause any leak issues on factory pans, but i do not know about after market pans. I will check my blocks i have here and try and find an example of such

It must have been on the older motors because everyone that replied said it was not a problem for them. I have a new crate engine so it wouldn't matter on mine. I was just looking for information before I had an LS to check out for myself.

Thanks
