Default Ls1 rebuild cost

Found a 99' ls1 that needs rebuilding. Guy says it was knocking. Complete with harness. $1000. Is this a reasonable price?

How much is a typical rebuild on a LS motor, anyone know?

I am not sure on that one, but have you seen this? I thought I would inform you since it is in Texas.

You can rering and bearing the LS1 for fairly cheap. You could also do a quick touch up on the machining and do a 347 with forged internals. If you are getting a complete engine + harness for $1000 I feel that is a good deal.
