I picked up a cheap resistance spot welder from Chicago Electric. Works great for the money.

I've got the rear clip more about halfway completely welded. Fitting, refitting, and re-refitting the panels is really paying off now.

Ron great to see some progress on this car.

On a side note the HD headlight are nice and we have similar on Dads 57 and while the lights are okay at night they are not great. We found an LED Bulb solution for them and I plan to order the bulbs in the next couple days. I will keep you posted on the light quality after the install.

Did it have the spot weld tongs for the tail panel or did you have to buy them?

Thanks Vince! Edit: I thought one could get difference length and shaped tongs from Harbor Freight, but that's only for the more expensive Miller version. I cheated and did mig rosettes for the inner to outer tail panel joint from inside the trunk.
