I'll vouch for the suspension being garbage, it's hanging on the wall of shame in my shed. Like I told Greg when he gave it to me was he'd have been better off using tennis balls and rebar for springs and shocks.

Charlie have you driven the new and improved yet?

Maybe Charlie means he owns you? As in the possessive 'your'

That's never going to happen....

If he drove it now - he'd think that's the way it always was. LOL

Funny thing happened along the way. Prior to the Ron Sutton suspension redeux.... My goal was to try to get thru a track weekend without spinning. It never happened. I'd spin before the two days were up. Since then ZERO spins... and lap times are down considerably! Do I have more time in the car... yes... Did I have lots of driving school time before I bought the car?? Yes... including 3 trips to Bondurant and 1 to Ron Fellows. Did I spin at any of those driving schools? ZERO. NADA. Have I looped the much faster Lotus... yep. Once when I tried to go too deep into turn 11 at Sonoma... and lifted (a big mistake in a car that has 63% rear weight bias).

Is it a sin to spin?

Not in my book.... we're amateurs that try to drive like we're some kind of pro racer boys. We're in the car, on track, 3 or 4 times a year.... and I know for me - I'm still trying different lines and trying to learn and do what Sutton is asking of me. It's a steep learning curve that you just hope isn't too costly. LOL

Even spinning in the Yellow Group (beginners) is a learning curve... small things like cold track and cold tires... incorrect tire pressures... forgetting where you are on track... letting your street driving carry over to track driving (completely different)...
