The new Rival S seem to be good for about ten 15 - 20 minutes test sessions with me driving. I would think I will get two events out of a set of tires now that I can run full 20 minute tests without temp issues. If you are not going 10/10th I would think a set of tires should last you 4 - 5 events depending on the HP and mass of your car. I have junked a set of tires in a day in the past though. I tested some Michelin Super Sports and tore chunks out of them.
On a side note the new Rival S tires are WAY better than the old ones. With the current tires wars going on I would plan on new tires every year anyway.
A 2014 Z2/8 can wear out a set of tires in 80 minutes of track time going flat out. (Two tank fulls of fuel) A new Z06 will wear out the tires in 30 minutes and they are the best on the first two laps. (One tank full of fuel).
If you want to play you are going to need to pay....
