Very nice work
Had a friend who had the underside of his Shelby done in
primer like they were back in the day.. it only took two years
and the car is still has no motor or drivetrain in it...

Keep on trucking

Bob

Cool

Wow .... very nice!

Are you going to put a top coat over the sound control and/or the thermal barrier?

Nice ... question? Since I sprayed the SPI black epoxy the other day in preps for Lizard Skin I noticed the epoxy is very easily scratched (I have to scotch brite the surface before the sound control anyway) ....are you gonna use the red epoxy as a sealer?

If so what is the formula to make it more durable than just spraying the two part epoxy?

First time w SPI and have been looking to your projects for ideas and tips .. thanks for any help.

Michael

The epoxy wasn't cured is why it scratched. We sprayed the epoxy Friday and did not sand it and sprayed the Lizard Skin yesterday. You have a 7 day window with the epoxy before you would have to sand it.

Thanks for the info ... I will wait a few more days and then apply the Lizard Skin. The weather is a little finicky here and hopefully it will warm up a little and I can spray.

Thanks for answering my questions ... don't mean to be a bother!

Wow that looks cool! Question ... did you take into account the clearances for the bolt in stuff, cuz that's a lot of material applied to the surfaces? What about threaded holes?

Now you got me thinking I need to finish with black epoxy ...hmmm?

The body was not ecoated so we sanded it down a long time ago and sprayed black epoxy on the undercarriage. SPI came out with red oxide and that is what the owner wanted so after seam sealing it was sprayed with red oxide. The owner wanted the Lizard Skin and he wanted the undercarriage finished in red oxide.
