This was scheduled for last fall, until my painter came by the shop to inspect what I thought was ready...I'm an electrician, not a painter...so after he showed me my shoddy work, I went back to blocking. During this endeavor I managed to hurt my rotator cup, so blocking got very slow. Then my father in law passed away, and paint got put on hold. Then winter showed up with a vengeance, so there you go. I did all the body work and pre-paint primer, my painter did help me get the front end sheet metal perfect, as well as the doors opening and closing like a new car, once we got it in the paint booth. I can drop the hood from 6", and she closes perfect. I'm amazed. HUGE thank you to my friend and painter Phillip Martin! We put stripes on it hopefully tomorrow, then cut and buff this week. Took me 3 years and 9 months to get to paint booth...

Dayum it Jim I'm an electrician not a painter ...LOL .. Looks GREAT!!! I get envious when I see other folks cars painted. I can only dream of the day when mine gets in the booth.

Haha thank you! I often sat back and asked myself would it ever happen. It seems like the harder I tried to get the car to the booth, the more stuff kept popping up. Fortunately I'm a very patient guy.
More updates coming soon!

Trim pieces are going on well. Doors are built, and done. Side glasses are adjusted perfectly, which is a chore. Headliner rails are stripped clean, and screwed back in. Headliner goes in next, then package tray, then front and back glass. I then wire lights, and finish interior. I have RideTech shocks coming with a dab of secret sauce, and I've decided to go with Global West front control arms, to improve front geometry. A set of Falken tires next week, and it's a driver before you know it. It won't be finished, just done for now. These are never finished...

Thanks guys! Been crazy busy with work lately...well this entire year really...so things are moving slow. I did get my new Global West front control arms installed, which will improve my geometry up front al lot, over the CPP units I bought. I will post the CPP stuff up for sale soon. Headliner is in, and drivers side door/rear door panels in, as well as new billet door and window hardware. Also bought and installed a lift in my shop. Man I should have done that 15 years ago! My RideTech shocks that Mr. sutton set up for me will arrive tomorrow. More coming soon!
