I am temped to go the satin route with it kind of like this, but it's a move that I'm not sure I am ready for...at least not on this build.

I painted one of my Mullet Camaro's gunmetal with a satin clearcoat and gloss stripes.

I like it. I think it's bit more aggressive look.
I've mentioned Lexus Atomic Silver a few times. One just happened to park outside the neighbors house yesterday and thankfully it was clean. Gave me a chance to sit and look at it for a few. Snapped a picture with the current spray outs to get a better idea. I'm diggin it, but not sure it's right.

I went through this gray silver thing a few years ago when my dad painted his Sport Fury, I've witnessed your pain! He ended up with a Saab color that looks just right, color darkens around body lines and pops in the sun.
Out of the two you're showing in the picture, I'd be leaning towards the lighter color.

I loved this color I painted my previous 68. Never see it on many cars, now or then. I liked it because it had very minimal metallic which most other colors seem to have a fair amount to a large amount.
BMW Sterling Gray

Funny you bring this up as I have looked at your old build thread pics a few times. It's another that, I should probably take a second look at. Didn't wanna bring up a sore spot and see you cry, so I kept quite about it. I'm such a caring individual.

Hey buddy, pick a dam color already!!! LOL
Too many pages about a color choice
What the hell are you going to do when it finally gets here and we start putting it together?
Your ass is in the shop with me, hire someone to take and post updates & pics!
So back on topic....... build thread
Has anyone seen his engine? pic of the engine I did last summer
That may change too, I have been informed that if this deal goes through that I will building him a 415 or 425 N/A stroker engine for him and sell this one?
You know I love ya buddy!!

Called my pops, he said it was Saab 279. Looks good with chrome, black trim and his gray centered torque thrusts.
Put your top colors on the wall and throw a dart.....

It might be more relevant to just hire someone to pick a colour for Curtis. He mentioned Jim being all loaded up on red bull and coffee recently, might to time to start slipping a fist full of valium into his coffee pot to buy Curtis a bit more time. lol
Cheers Mate.😊

That lexus color is sharp. I would consider it a transitional to contemporary color for a muscle car. Wait a minute, we aren't talking about houses.
In all seriousness, I'm going through the design of my custom house right now. In the last stages. The overall vision is important in your color choice. A modern color will work great with a modern theme. Meaning, engine, wheels, interior, luxuries
I'm building a transitional house. Meaning, not to traditional, not to contemporary. A modern balance.
I don't know if this helps, but I thought I'd share this perspective because building a custom car, which I've done, and a custom house are in the same ball park.
I pieced my muscle car together and it turned out good, I've spent some serious time on design and preparation for my home, I hope it turns out great.

COlor
Just my .02 but with what looks like brushed centers on the wheels I would go with a middle to darker shade of grey. The Sterling Gray BMW color would look great with those wheels. I am having a hard time with color right now as well. I have a 68 and my forgelines have black centers. I was looking at the Atomic Silver but wondered if the color was too "New" for the older muscle car? I also looked at the Porsche 918 Liquid Metal Silver. GOOD LUCK!!!
