This usually occurs when the ecu sees a difference between the commanded position ( throttle pedal position ) and the actual position of the throttle body, or a complete loss of signal from either one. I'm surprised you don't have a TAC fault of some sort. Is it possible the codes have been turned off?
My car did this intermittently, I found if the secondary safety latch on the throttle pedal plug was not locked in it would periodically loose the signal, ever since I pushed that in on the plug I haven't had a problem. I would suspect either the throttle pedal, throttle body, or wiring.

bought code reader. P2127 is the error code. I replaced the accelerator pedal and still have the problem. would you suggest replacing the TB or the TB electrical connector?

Try unplugging the mass air flow sensor and see if it quits doing it, if so, replace the MAF.....

finally fixed the problem. it was a bad wire splice going to the accelerator. Glad to have that off the list.
