I got a new control unnit today. I just cant seem to get the darn gauge cluster out. Its stuck and hitting the column. Do I have to lower the column to get this thing out?!?!

Yes. Loosen the 3 bolts and drop it down. You might have to loosen the firewall clamp on the steering column as well
